So today I look back and reflect on the success I've had so far selling clay figurines. The pickles are a huge hit, and every time I sell one, I call my mom on the phone and sing a pickle song I made up.
I plan to stock up on pickles for the craft fair and I can't wait to see how they will do.
On December 7th, I was with my good friend Andi as we sat on her couch drinking a delicious glass of moscato wine, we heard a "$ cha-ching $" from my phone. It was at this time I reached an unbelievable milestone of selling 100 clay creations online. One HUNDRED things that I created... now sitting on shelves, or hanging in trees, all over the world.
Let me get sentimental here for a second and express how much I appreciate my odd, twisted mind which comes up with these wacky ideas, and my hands which allow me to shape and create a block of plain white clay, into creatures which I paint as they become alive with different expressions and personalities. |
So what's next? whats my next milestone? 200 items? 300? Could this become a more full-time sort of thing? My dream job?-- Possibly in reach? ehhh.. I don't want to get all starry-eyed, but I am pretty excited with how far I've come and I look forward to seeing where the future leads me on this adventure. -Alisha
